Midnight snacks

Yesterday I made my very first "gajar ka halwa" (carrot pudding). I got the recipe from Manjula kitchen (http://www.manjulaskitchen.com/2007/04/26/gajar-ka-halwa-carrot-halwa/). Although I burnt the cashew nuts a little bit, it still came out to be good. Satish liked it. So today I made it again for our midnight snack. I would say that the ingredients are fairly simple but the cooking time is not that attractive. You have to stir it in low flame many times until the liquid is dried. Regardless of this, the taste, aahh, all worth it.

. Since my husband likes salty snacks too. I also made poha in addition to gajar ka halwa. I have done poha many times now. My only issue is that the peanuts available here in Korea are big and not that tasty. This is unlike the peanuts we get from Philippines and India which are small and very crunchy. My trick is to put the peanuts as garnishing after the poha had cooled. Chow!
